As a seasoned recording artist and singer-songwriter, I’ve built my life around stories, songs, and six strings. A Pittsburgh, PA, native now proudly rooted in Arizona, my journey has taken me from intimate coffeehouses and listening rooms to neighborhood gatherings, house concerts, upscale dining venues, country clubs and the big stage with my band—each stage offering a new opportunity to connect with others and bring joy through music.
I’m the creative force behind Vintage Guitar Legacies, my YouTube channel devoted to celebrating the history, tone, and craftsmanship of iconic instruments. Vintage guitars aren’t just part of my collection—they’re part of my voice. Their character and legacy shape the songs I write and the stories I share.
When I’m not performing solo or as a duo, you’ll find me fronting The Sarah James Band on any given night, delivering high-energy, full-stage performances. My touring travels have included summer residencies in Western New York State, along with appearances throughout Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Indiana—and I’m excited to continue expanding into the West Coast, the Pacific Northwest, and the Northeast.
With a wide and diverse repertoire spanning genres and generations, I bring a deep respect for every song I perform—its origins, its history, and even the instruments that first gave it life. Whether solo or with my band, my goal is always the same: to share authentic, heartfelt music that resonates, uplifts, and connects people of all ages through timeless songs and the unmistakable soul of a great guitar.
