DESCRIPTION:
Tom Paxton, one of the great original folk singers to emerge from the Greenwich Village folk scene in the early sixties, became beloved for such songs as “Ramblin’ Boy,” “The Last Thing On My Mind,” “Whose Garden Was This,” and “Lyndon Johnson Told the Nation.” His political songs were the most biting, his love songs the most lyrical, and his humorous songs the funniest in the Village clubs – and he went on to record an astonishing 63 albums in a career spanning more than six decades.
Chautauquan Phil Lerman (last seen at the women’s club performing “The 2,000 Year Old Man”) hosts an evening of Tom Paxton songs featuring the area’s all-star musicians – Sarah James, Bill Ward, Greg Miller, and more!
Venue located on Chautauqua Institution grounds; a gate pass is required.
